This blog post aims to answer the question, “Who do INFPs attract?” and explore the various dimensions of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality type named INFP that will help understand the answer. 

Who do INFPs attract?

INFPs attract the following 3 personality types –

• ENTJ.
• ENFJ.
• INTJ.

These 3 personality types that INFPs attract will be discussed in further detail below after taking a deeper look at what INFP means. 

Who is an INFP?

The INFP personality type was developed by Katharine Briggs and Isabel Myers, the authors of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®). INFP stands for Introversion, iNtuition, Feeling, and Perceiving, which are four key personality qualities based on C.G. Jung’s work.

Each of the four letters of the INFP code represents a significant personality feature of the INFP personality type. 

INFPs are stimulated by alone time (Introverted), focus on ideas and concepts rather than facts and specifics (iNtuitive), base their decisions on feelings and values (Feeling), and like to be spontaneous and flexible rather than planned and structured (Perceiving).

Because of their empathetic idealism and gentle concern for others, the INFP personality type is often known as the “Healer.” The INFP is also known by the following nicknames:

• The Thoughtful Idealist (MBTI)
• The Mediator (16Personalities)

An INFP prefers an unstructured and free-spirited lifestyle. INFP is an introverted and ultra-creative Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality type. The INFP is sensitive, creative, and loyal to their values.

INFPs are creative idealists who are guided by their primary ideals and beliefs. A Healer who is preoccupied with possibilities; the actuality of the time is merely a fleeting concern. INFPs see the possibility of a brighter future and seek truth and purpose in their own unique way.

INFPs are sensitive, loving, and compassionate people who are highly concerned with their own and others’ personal progress. INFPs are individualistic and nonjudgmental, believing that each person must forge their own path. 

INFPs like spending time investigating their own ideas and ideals, and they gently encourage others to do the same. INFPs are creative and frequently artistic; they like discovering new ways to express themselves.   

INFP Personality Type Characteristics Are –

• INFPs are introverts who are quiet and reserved. INFPs find that being in social situations depletes their energy, thus they prefer to connect with a small number of close pals. While they like being alone, this should not be mistaken for timidity. Rather, it simply implies that INFPs get energy from alone time. INFPs must, on the other hand, devote energy to social circumstances.

• INFPs rely on intuition and are more concerned with the overall picture than the finer points of a situation. INFPs can be quite thorough about things that are important to them or tasks they are working on, yet they tend to overlook little or insignificant details.

• INFPs value personal sentiments above everything else and their actions are affected more by these concerns than by objective data.

• INFPs prefer to keep their choices open when it comes to making decisions. INFPs frequently put off making key judgments in case the circumstance changes. The majority of judgments are made based on personal ideals rather than reasoning.

What are these 3 personality types that INFPs attract?

ENTJ.

ENTJs find INFPs attractive because of their desire, intensity, and leadership ability. INFPs have a lot of innovative ideas, and ENTJs can assist them to plan how to make their goals a reality.

ENTJs are drawn to INFP because of their warmth, honesty, and innovative thoughts. INFPs can assist ENTJs in seeing things from a fresh viewpoint and encouraging them to express their emotions.

Warmth, genuineness, originality, and insight into people are all qualities that ENTJs like in INFPs. They are attracted to the INFP’s unselfish attitude and are astounded by their extraordinary listening abilities.

The INFP’s deep inner life is immensely interesting, and ENTJs will feel free to open up their own tightly guarded, but sometimes equally complicated and terribly passionate, minds/hearts without fear of being judged. The traditional INFP peacefulness is awe-inspiring.

INFPs appeal to ENTJs because they are welcoming, sincere, and inventive. INFPs can assist ENTJs in seeing things in new ways and encouraging them to express themselves emotionally. INFPs are drawn to ENTJs because of their ambition, intellect, and self-assurance.

ENFJ.

ENFJs find INFPs attractive because of their charisma, thoughtfulness, and supportive nature. ENFJs are good at drawing others out of their shells and motivating them to take action.

INFPs appeal to ENFJs because they are peaceful, genuine, playful, and easygoing. INFPs can assist ENFJs in relaxing and slowing down on occasion.

If an INFP is looking for a love companion, ENFJs and ENTJs are likely to be the greatest choices. Because these extroverted personalities have the Intuitive preference like INFPs, they are more likely to be able to relate to their INFP partner than other personality types.

Furthermore, the outgoing attitude of an ENFJ or ENTJ might work effectively with the shy, introverted Mediator. 

Even if these two personality types appear to be poles apart from INFPs at times, this is a good thing because it allows both parties to grow in the relationship and experience the world from a different perspective.

INTPs, INFJs, INTJs, and other INFPs are also ideal mates for INFPs. Because they have an excellent understanding of the Idealist’s personality and thinking, these personalities are likely to get along.

However, because all of these personality types are introverted and quiet, forming a connection can be difficult, as neither introvert is likely to initiate contact. These connections, however, have the ability to bloom if given enough time to form a bond.

ENFJs like INFPs the most. An INFP’s natural partner is an ENFJ. Due to their common desire for a solid relationship, they interact in comparable ways and might share major connections. Neither of them enjoys playing games, and they both place high importance on authenticity.

INFPs and ENFJs enjoy talking about almost anything because they have excellent communication skills.

INTJ.

Visualizing future possibilities and potential is enjoyable for both INFPs and INTJs. They will likely spend many hours immersed in the deep talk about the future, all they could do, all they could experience, and all the mysteries in life they desire to discover since they are more drawn to what “might be” than what “is.” 

When they sit down to watch Netflix together, they’ll almost certainly be drawn to inventive, important films or series that spark new ideas. Both INTJs and INFPs have a strong need for personal autonomy. 

They both want to be independent and require a lot of alone time to examine their ideas and feelings. Because they are both introverts, they will most likely give each other the space and autonomy they require.

INFPs can assist INTJs in being more aware of their inner sentiments and ideals. They can assist them in making decisions by encouraging them to examine what is important to them on a subjective, internal level.

INFPs can benefit from INTJs’ assistance in refining their objectives and strategizing strategies to achieve them. They can motivate INFPs to pursue their ambitions rather than merely dreaming about them since they know how to break down enormous undertakings into smaller stages.

Both INTJs and INFPs are drawn to new and different methods of doing things. They like collecting information and discovering new theories. They’d rather think outside the box than take the traditional route, and this mutual desire may lead them down a variety of intriguing intellectual paths.

People’s obligations are taken very seriously by INTJs and INFPs. Neither of them acts as “players” (except on rare occasions). 

When they’re in a relationship, they have strong, intense feelings for each other and are unlikely to be wishy-washy or uncaring about the person they choose to love.
